Female Pedestrian Hit and Killed in Suspected Las Vegas DUI Accident

When people head out somewhere on foot, they tend to understand that they are sharing the roads with motorists.  This means that not only do they need to follow all of the relevant traffic laws to remain safe, but that they also need to trust that any motorists in the area will be doing the same.  When that doesn’t happen, disaster can result.  Tragically, that is what police suspect happened yesterday when a female pedestrian was hit and killed in a suspected Las Vegas DUI accident.

According to the authorities, this suspected Las Vegas DUI accident occurred yesterday at approximately 5 p.m.  An unidentified 52-year-old woman was walking on Valley View Boulevard near Sahara Avenue when suddenly, she was hit and killed by the unidentified 33-year-old male driver of a vehicle.  Police soon arrived on the scene and administered field sobriety tests to the driver, which he allegedly failed.  The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and other charges.
