Man on Sidewalk Hit and Killed in Henderson Pedestrian Accident

According to the authorities, this fatal Henderson pedestrian accident occurred on Friday morning at approximately 7:15 a.m.  An unidentified 71-year-old man was walking on a sidewalk on Hampton Road near Point Pleasant Drive in the Anthem neighborhood of the city.  Suddenly, the 78-year-old male driver of a vehicle came from behind the man and veered off the road for unknown reasons.  The vehicle hit the walking man and killed him instantly.  Police are still attempting to determine why the crash occurred.
