Protecting Your Rights in a Personal Injury Case
If you have been badly injured in an accident that was the result of faulty actions of someone else, you may believe you are the only one facing such a difficult scenario. The team at Bernstein & Poisson in Las Vegas are here to tell you that you are not alone. Each year, thousands of innocent drivers or vehicle passengers are injured by negligent drivers across the country. According to statistics from the US Department of Transportation, 145,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes in 2011 alone.
When someone is injured in an accident that is not his or her fault, that person has the legal right to seek compensation for damages. This means that you can bring a lawsuit against the at-fault driver and his or her insurance company. And that’s exactly what the personal injury attorneys at Bernstein & Poisson will help you do.
Damages – from medical bills to lost income – can cause extreme stress and hardship for the victim. That is why the law offers ways for the at-fault driver to “make it right” through financial means. Sadly, few drivers wish to take responsibility for their actions, forcing the injured party to file a lawsuit to recover compensation.
