One Woman Killed, One Man Injured in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident

According to the authorities, this fatal Las Vegas pedestrian accident occurred on Friday night at approximately 7:30 p.m.  An unidentified elderly man and an elderly woman were attempting to cross the street at or near the intersection of 13th Street and Carson Avenue.  As they did so, they were hit by an oncoming SUV.  The woman was killed instantly and the man was injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital.  No word was given as to whether the people were in the crosswalk at the time of the crash.
