Woman Killed in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident When Vehicle Jumps Curb

According to the authorities, this Las Vegas pedestrian accident occurred on Friday evening at approximately 5:40 p.m.  A 63-year-old woman was walking with her son near Owens Avenue and Mojave Road when suddenly, the 23-year-old female driver of a Dodge sedan lost control of her vehicle.  As a result, the vehicle rode up over the curb and onto the sidewalk and hit the woman.  She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but she did not survive her injuries.  The driver remained on the scene.
